Your dollar-for-dollar tax credit donation to ACSTO provides scholarships to students at
Compassion Christian Academy.
It is hard to believe that we started out 7 years ago as a small school with only 5 students. As we enter our 7th school year we have grown to over 40 students. Even at our slightly larger number our school is still able to provide small classroom education. Our current enrollment is students in Kindergarten through 11th grade. The core value of Compassion Christian Academy is to serve students and families by providing teacher-led instruction to all students to inspire academic excellence, live a Godly life, and become a disciple of Jesus Christ (Psalm 86:15). As a Christian school we do our best to make a difference in the lives around us by providing support to our families enrolled and also several local ministries that support the elderly, women, children, families and even animals with special needs. Our families here are such a wonderful support system and we are grateful to have them to partner with us to minister to these various organizations.
We encourage our families to support ACSTO. Through them we have been able to receive funds for so many of our students here at CCA. We would not only like to help support more of our current families but also provide some support for the new incoming families. These scholarships are such a financial blessing to our families and also help with the growth of Compassion Christian Academy.
As an Arizona taxpayer, your donation to ACSTO provides scholarships for students to attend Christian Schools while you receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit against your state tax liability!
A tax credit is very different than a charitable deduction—rather than reduce your taxable income, it directly reduces your state tax liability (a.k.a. the tax you pay). This means that at the end of the year, if you normally receive a refund, you’ll get a bigger refund. If you normally owe taxes, you’ll owe less. It is to your advantage to participate in this program!
For example, if your tax liability is $1,000 and you make a $750 donation to ACSTO, your liability will be reduced to $250.
In addition, you can donate all the way up until Tax Day or before you file your taxes (whichever of these comes first), and still claim the credit for the previous tax year.
The best part? ACSTO uses your tax credit donation to award tuition scholarships to Christian School students attending one of our Partner Schools. You can even identify a school or recommend a specific student to be considered for a scholarship.
