Your dollar-for-dollar tax credit donation to ACSTO provides scholarships to students at
Apache Baptist Academy.
Apache Baptist Academy has served the San Carlos Apache Community in Bylas, Arizona since 2009. Dozens of students have been enrolled since our inception. We currently offer classroom education to kindergarten through 8th grade students. Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered education that equips students to know and honor God by building their lives on the moral principles and timeless truth of the Bible, pursuing academic excellence grounded in factual knowledge and historical accuracy, and cultivating integrity, wisdom, personal responsibility and servant leadership. We are committed to developing young men and women who appreciate the God-given freedoms and founding ideals of the United States, respecting their Apache heritage, fellow citizens of all cultures, and who are prepared to make a positive impact in their families, churches, communities and nation, living lives that reflect the character and teachings of Jesus Christ.
A testament to the success of our program is our current principle. Marvelous Esh’keen Rustin was the first student enrolled back in 2009. He graduated from Apache Baptist Academy and Fort Thomas High School. He then graduated with a bachelor of Biblical Studies from Ambassador Baptist College, Lattimore, NC earning the President’s Award in his senior year.
As an Arizona taxpayer, your donation to ACSTO provides scholarships for students to attend Christian Schools while you receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit against your state tax liability!
A tax credit is very different than a charitable deduction—rather than reduce your taxable income, it directly reduces your state tax liability (a.k.a. the tax you pay). This means that at the end of the year, if you normally receive a refund, you’ll get a bigger refund. If you normally owe taxes, you’ll owe less. It is to your advantage to participate in this program!
For example, if your tax liability is $1,000 and you make a $750 donation to ACSTO, your liability will be reduced to $250.
In addition, you can donate all the way up until Tax Day or before you file your taxes (whichever of these comes first), and still claim the credit for the previous tax year.
The best part? ACSTO uses your tax credit donation to award tuition scholarships to Christian School students attending one of our Partner Schools. You can even identify a school or recommend a specific student to be considered for a scholarship.
