Landon has a magnetic personality that draws people to him. He has a knack for reading the room, knowing when to be silly and when to be serious. He is a natural leader and his demeanor commands respect from those around him. He so completely loves God that he is willing to be completely honest about who he is, bearing his flaws and being open about his own struggles and sins with those around him, not worrying or fearing how that may change people's perception of him. Although he struggles with impulsive behavior, he has a wisdom about him that is beyond his age, and he strives every day to be the best version of himself. He has a selfless heart and truly loves and cares about the people around him.
Landon attended four different public schools from kindergarten through 6th grade. When Covid hit, my family was led to a charter-funded micro-school through a company called Prenda. I quit my public school job and became a Prenda Guide for Landon, his younger brother, and 8 other kids ranging in grades from 1st through 7th. Prenda was a blessing for my family, allowing me to provide a homeschool-like education for them while still receiving a salary. However, I didn't feel that Landon was receiving the best education with me being spread so thin with such a wide range of students. For 8th grade, I found a small private Christian school in Scottsdale called Tipping Point Academy that Landon was able to attend with partial financial assistance from ESA funds. This was Landon's first year in a Christian school and it was amazing to see his faith grow. Unfortunately, I still did not feel that Landon was receiving a level of education that justified the long drive from Glendale to Scottsdale. The time and expense that the drive involved, in addition to the tuition expenses not covered by his ESA funds, proved too much and I pulled him from Tipping Point in December to homeschool him, while I continued to guide a Prenda Microschool.
As you can see, military life and Covid have severely impacted Landon's educational stability. Despite all of this, maybe because of this, Landon blooms where he is planted. Please consider taking advantage of the Private School Tax Credit where you will receive a dollar-for-dollar credit when you file state taxes. With the help of generous scholarships that we receive from ACSTO donations through our family and friends, Landon will be able to continue his Christian education through all of his high school years at Dream City, finishing his schooling in a stable and consistent environment that allows for interest exploration and academic growth.

As an Arizona taxpayer, your donation to ACSTO provides scholarships for students to attend Christian Schools while you receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit against your state tax liability!
A tax credit is very different than a charitable deduction—rather than reduce your taxable income, it directly reduces your state tax liability (a.k.a. the tax you pay). This means that at the end of the year, if you normally receive a refund, you’ll get a bigger refund. If you normally owe taxes, you’ll owe less. It is to your advantage to participate in this program!
For example, if your tax liability is $1,000 and you make a $750 donation to ACSTO, your liability will be reduced to $250.
In addition, you can donate all the way up until Tax Day or before you file your taxes (whichever of these comes first), and still claim the credit for the previous tax year.
The best part? ACSTO uses your tax credit donation to award tuition scholarships to Christian School students attending one of our Partner Schools. You can even identify a school or recommend a specific student to be considered for a scholarship.
Thank you for making Christian Education affordable for thousands of Arizona families!
